A more connected view of your pipeline
Explore in 3D, inspect from new perspectives, and bring video, seabed data and engineering records into context.
See the detailed changesPipelineSentry V1.0 launched in December 2025. With V1.1, released on 28 September 2026, we’re bringing pipeline geometry, inspection findings and survey data closer together — helping you move from a record to the engineering context around it.
The highlights
Explore your pipeline in 3D
A browser-native viewer with continuous KP navigation and a record explorer spanning the full pipeline.
Inspect from new perspectives
Side profiles, cross-sections and dedicated ILI views make it easier to examine findings in context.
Connect video to location
Multi-camera inspection playback brings pipeline position and available ROV telemetry into the same view.
See more of the seabed
Campaign-based bathymetry, depth colouring and improved map navigation provide richer spatial context.
Detailed changes
V1.1 release highlights and changes, grouped by workflow. Overlapping frontend and backend updates are combined below.
3D exploration & record navigation
Browser-native 3D viewer
Explore pipeline geometry, seabed profiles, installed components, inspection findings and survey data directly in the web app.
Continuous pipeline navigation
Move along the pipeline by kilometre point (KP), with sections loading progressively as you explore.
Full-pipeline record explorer
Browse and search inspection records beyond the visible section, then jump to their location.
Clearer record details
Improved highlighting, grouped callouts, precise KP values and accessible source information make selected records easier to review.
Direct navigation from records
Open map and 3D views with the relevant record and dataset context.
More consistent filtering
Aligned categories, severity colours and selection behaviour across map and 3D views, supported by component search, feature filters and improved KP-range selection.
Inspection profiles & engineering context
Side-profile view
Inspect pipeline and seabed profiles along the route, with selectable inspection records.
Cross-profile view
Examine pipe cross-sections, seabed context and inline inspection (ILI) anomaly clock positions.
Dedicated ILI slice inspection
Inspect anomalies within a pipe segment using clock-position and axial-position views.
Engineering overlays
Survey measurements, depth and orientation instruments, and component colouring add engineering context to the 3D view.
Inspection video & ROV telemetry
Integrated multi-camera playback
Review camera-specific inspection playlists linked to pipeline position and available telemetry, with support for position lookup and travel direction.
ROV representation in 3D
View available vehicle position and orientation in the same coordinate frame as the pipeline, with smoother video camera tracking.
Bathymetry & maps
Enhanced 3D bathymetry
Campaign-based seabed terrain with depth colouring, relief shading and opacity controls, backed by campaign-wide datasets, 3D terrain assets and more consistent elevation handling.
Expanded map layers
Raster imagery and processed seabed datasets sit alongside pipeline information, with campaign selection and depth-colour controls.
Clearer map navigation
KP distance markers, refined zoom controls, clearer clusters and better label placement improve readability along the route.
Data management & alignment
Data Library, Spatial Workbench and alignment review workflows are available where enabled for your deployment. The supporting backend capabilities below may not all be exposed in your live web app.
Data Library
Centralised uploads and document browsing connect source files to pipelines, campaigns and inspection runs, with version history and traceability.
Broader import support
Backend import capabilities cover inspection workbooks, external survey packages, component registers, pipeline markers, sections and physical properties.
More control before importing
Spreadsheet previews, sheet selection, column mapping, validation reports, trial imports and processing progress help teams review incoming data.
Spatial Workbench
Review governed pipeline routes and place component location references.
Alignment review workflows
Calculate, review and approve component, ILI and external-survey alignment to a common pipeline route, alongside Master KP recalibration.
More precise positioning support
Backend improvements include reviewed KP calibration, multiple alignment anchors and routes with separate recorded KP sections.
Richer component information
Support for editable location references, component connections and correlated pipe-tally imports adds detail to component records.
Performance & reliability
More efficient loading
Fewer redundant startup requests, reduced unnecessary 3D data loading and progressive inspection-data loading keep exploration responsive.
Improved query reliability
Faster survey queries and fixes for route lookup timeouts improve access to pipeline data.
More stable interactions
Improved selection stability and smoother camera tracking support record review and video playback.
Stronger file and video processing
Backend support for direct cloud uploads, background processing, progress reporting and AWS video transcoding strengthens handling of large files and inspection video.
